A Business Trip Beckons
I found myself preparing for an exciting business journey alongside my Managing Director, Stephen Bleakley, and my fellow colleague, Tamsin Aldridge. Our mission? To meet with clients in Basel and Interlaken. It was an opportunity to experience the picturesque Swiss landscapes and strengthen our business relationships.
Basel: Where Business meets Culture.
Our journey began in the beauty of Basel, a city where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly. This place not only enriched our visit but also provided the perfect backdrop for informal conversations with our clients. Our clients greeted us warmly in the small town of Haltingen.
A Train Ride to Remember
With our meetings in Basel concluded, the time had come to depart for Interlaken, and we chose the scenic train route. The journey took us through the rolling hills and sun glistening lakes, with the pristine Swiss Alps slowly emerging on the horizon; stunning natural beauty and silvery snow-capped peaks.
Embracing Nature in Interlaken
Interlaken greeted us with crisp mountain air and the promise of adventure. Against the backdrop of Jungfrau peaks, we embarked on the 100-year-old funicular, transporting us to Harder Klum at 1,322 metres above sea level in less than 10 minutes. The ride to the summit station was thrillingly steep, and throughout the journey you can marvel at majestic landscapes of lakes and mountains.
The Power of Personal Connection
Our meeting in Interlaken was a resounding success, not only in terms of business but also in forging deeper connections. We embarked on a series of meetings and discussions with clients, ranging from large corporations to local start-ups. A firm handshake and a warm smile can go a long way in setting the tone for a perfect meeting. Each encounter was a testament to the strong relationships being built on trust and integrity along with a truly unique client engagement experience.
Auf Wiedersehen Switzerland
We bade farewell to Basel and Interlaken with a sense of accomplishment. Our trip had not only strengthened our business relationships, but I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the unforgettable experience and valuable business connections made during this trip. Basel and Interlaken had left an indelible mark on me, a harmonious blend of business and pleasure in one of the most enchanting and captivating countries in the world.
