SBM advice and support yields results for client during lockdown
Advice and support from SBM to undertake low cost renovations and create a stronger marketing profile helped one of the largest companies in the world dispose of their former UK head office.
The client had been unsuccessful in securing a positive outcome for its former premises since moving to a new site.
SBM advised on low-cost, high-impact renovation work to help improve the sale of the freehold premises in Greater London.
A revitalised marketing campaign was undertaken and focused on the good quality office space, which had significant potential.
Shortly after the scope of works began, a developer came forward with a keen interest in the site.
An offer was received and a period of negotiation and due diligence followed.
The parties proceeded with the transaction, exchanging contracts in lockdown and successfully completing in July 2020.
SBM Managing Director, Stephen Bleakley, said: “We’re delighted to have supported such a high-profile client to successfully manage the freehold disposal of their former premises especially during the challenges of lockdown.
“Thanks to SBM, the client has been able to resolve a property issue which had been draining resources.
“The property was located within a business district and inevitably the impact of lockdown was clearly felt but by applying our expertise and knowledge about corporate real estate, we achieved a great result.”
